This policy explains what [Company legal name] ("we") collects when you use AloNE, why, and the controls you have. We collect only what the app needs to work.

What we collect

Account

• A device account created when you start, identified by a random sign-in token stored in your browser.
• If you choose to save your account: your email address and a securely hashed password. We never store your password in readable form.
• The age confirmation you gave when you started.

Conversations

• The messages you send and the characters' replies, so you can see your history.
• Short memories characters keep about your conversations, which you can view and delete.
• Private conversation state that helps characters respond consistently. It's never shown as a score and is never shared with other users.

Settings and subscription

• Your preferences, such as text size, speech settings, and notification choices.
• Whether you have Pro and its status. Card and payment details are handled by our payment provider; we don't receive them.

Safety and operations

• When a message is blocked by our safety rules, we record the rule that was triggered and when, not the blocked text. Blocked messages you write are not saved or sent to our AI provider.
• Reports you file about a message, including your note and the reported message.
• Usage records, such as how much AI processing each conversation used, for cost and reliability monitoring.

What we don't do

• We don't sell your data or use it for advertising.
• We don't share one person's conversations or memories with any other account.
• Characters never ask for, and are blocked from sharing, contact details or locations.

Service providers

We use a few providers to run AloNE. They process data on our behalf only for these purposes:

• OpenAI generates character replies. Your recent messages and relevant memories are sent to it for each reply.
• Paddle or Lemon Squeezy processes payments as merchant of record and receives the details you give at checkout.
• Google Website Translator is loaded to translate the app's interface. If you pick a language other than English, the interface text is sent to Google for translation.
• Your browser or device provides speech features. Speech recognition may be processed by your browser or operating system vendor under their own privacy terms. We receive only the text you choose to send.
• Our hosting provider, [hosting provider], stores the service's data.

Storage in your browser

AloNE stores your sign-in token and language choice in your browser's local storage so you stay signed in. We don't use advertising or tracking cookies. The translation widget may set a cookie to remember your chosen language.

Your controls

• Memories: review and delete what each character remembers.
• Conversations: archive, reset, or delete any conversation.
• Account: delete your account and associated data from Profile.
• Access or export: ask us for a copy of your data at [support email].

Depending on where you live, you may have further rights, such as correcting data, restricting or objecting to processing, or complaining to a data protection authority.

How long we keep data

We keep your account and conversation history until you delete them or your account. After deletion, remaining copies are removed from backups within [backup retention period]. Safety records are kept for [moderation record retention period] to protect the service.

Age

AloNE is only for adults aged 20 and older. If we learn that an account belongs to someone younger, we'll delete it.

Changes

If we make material changes to this policy, we'll let you know in the app before they take effect.
